Ioka Farms processes approximately 20 million pounds of seed annually, which comes in from our farm as well as other growers. Various cleaning machines and methods are used so as to get the most pure, live seeds for replanting. Our facility also offers seed treating, storage, blending, and bag sales. For more information on any of these services, please call 503-873-6498 or email info@iokamarketing.com.

CLEANING & STORAGE: We utilize two cleaning lines with air screens, scalpers, and a gravity deck, and have additional machines like a color sorter and spiral separators. Seed types that we clean are: bentgrass, brassicas, crimson & red clovers, fescues, ryegrass, meadowfoam, chicory, small grains, and peas. We custom clean for local growers and seed companies, striving to meet the requested processing, packaging, and testing instructions. Storage and insurance coverage are available as well.

TREATING: Our facility has the capability to treat seed with chemical, biological, and physical agents prior to planting to provide protection and improve establishment of healthy plants. We can apply insecticides and fungicides to grass seeds and small grains, as well as inoculants to legumes. We have experience with custom treating seed for export and can provide pricing upon request.

BAG SALES: We stock and sell plain poly woven bags in many sizes. Contact us for pricing and availability.

Honoring the past, Ioka is named from a Chinook Indian word meaning “a thing of loveliness” or “a cherished piece of land noted for its beauty, health, and fertility”.
